Neuropsychological Evaluation
Neuropsychological evaluations offer a comprehensive assessment of a person’s strengths and weaknesses in information processing and learning. By discovering a person’s individualized learning profile, parents and students can make a plan to intervene to maximize academic and professional achievement and improve their day- to- day functioning. A comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation is comprised of a customized battery of cognitive tests. These tests typically consist of measures of:
intellectual ability
academic achievement
executive skills
language processing
spatial ability
memory
The resulting scores are integrated with parent, self and teacher rating scales, developmental history and behavioral observations made by Dr. Levantrosser.
An evaluation typically involves a parent intake appointment, three testing appointments, and a parent-informing appointment to review and discuss your child's evaluation results. ADHD screenings are also available and can often answer key questions for adults.
Recommendations that are specific to your child’s individual needs are provided as a roadmap to customize your child’s learning and treatment plan. Information empowers you, the parent, to make smart solutions for your child’s learning experience!
